This policy explains how the focus app Moonlet (“the app”) handles personal data. The app is provided by Antiluna AB, company reg. no. 559585-5403, Sweden (“we”), which is the data controller.
1. In short
Moonlet works without an account and without our own servers. We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, photos or advertising ID, the app contains no ads and no analytics or tracking tools, and we never sell personal data. Everything you create in the app stays on your device.
2. Data stored on your device
To work, the app saves the following locally on your phone, and it is never sent to us:
- your focus history (dates, length of sessions, streaks) and achievements,
- Moonlight, Gems, bottles, decorations, themes and other things you collect or buy in the app,
- your Moonlet, its placements and your settings (language, sound, reminders, themes).
You can delete all of it at any time under Settings → Erase all data, or by uninstalling the app.
3. Your phone’s backup
If you have Android backup turned on, Android may include the app’s data in your phone’s backup to your Google account, so that your progress can be restored on a new phone. This backup is handled by Google under your Google account settings; we cannot access it. You can turn backup off in your phone’s settings.
4. Notifications
If you allow notifications, the app shows reminders and a message when a focus session ends. These are scheduled locally on your device; no data is sent to us or to a notification service. You can turn them off in the app or in your phone’s settings.
5. Purchases
Gems and Moonlet Premium are bought through Google Play. Payments are handled entirely by Google; we never see your card or payment details. For purchases and subscriptions, Google provides us with order information such as order number, product, date, price, country and subscription status, which we use to deliver what you bought, handle refunds and keep our accounting. The legal basis is the performance of the purchase agreement and our legal obligations (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (c)). Accounting records are kept as long as Swedish law requires (normally seven years). Read Google’s Privacy Policy for how Google handles payment data.
6. Children
Moonlet is made for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you are a parent or guardian and have questions, please contact us.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to request access to, rectification or erasure of your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to data portability. Because the app’s data stays on your device, you can erase it yourself at any time. For purchase information, contact us or Google. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) or your local supervisory authority.
8. Changes
We may update this policy, for example if we add new features. The date at the top shows when it was last changed, and important changes will be announced in the app.
