This policy explains how the mobile game Poppy (“the app”) handles personal data. The app is provided by Antiluna AB, company reg. no. 559585-5403, Sweden (“we”), which is the data controller.
1. Data we collect ourselves
Poppy does not require an account, and we do not ourselves collect your name, email address or other personal data. Your high score is stored only locally on your device and is never sent to us. Sign-in is not available in the current version of the app. If it is introduced later, we will update this policy before the feature is released.
2. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app is free and funded by ads served by Google AdMob (Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC), an ad network certified for Google Play’s Families program. Because Poppy is made for all ages, including children, every user is treated as a child: ads are never personalised, the device’s advertising ID is not collected, and only ads rated suitable for general audiences (G) are shown. To serve and measure these ads, Google may process:
- IP address and approximate location derived from it,
- device and app information (e.g. model, operating system, language, app version),
- information about your interactions with ads (impressions and clicks).
This data is used only to show contextual (non-personalised) ads, limit how often the same ad appears, measure ads and prevent fraud. It is not used to build advertising profiles. Learn more about how Google uses information from apps that use its services and read Google’s Privacy Policy.
3. Child-directed ad settings
All ad requests from Poppy are tagged as child-directed under the US Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and as coming from users under the age of consent in Europe (GDPR). This means Google does not use personalised advertising, remarketing or interest-based profiling for anyone who plays Poppy, regardless of age.
Because no personalised advertising takes place, the app does not ask for consent to personalised ads and does not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising. The legal basis for showing non-personalised ads is our legitimate interest in funding a free game (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
4. Storage and transfers
We do not store any personal data about you on our servers. Data collected by Google is retained according to Google’s own retention periods and may be transferred to countries outside the EU/EEA, including the United States. Google relies on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
5. Children
Poppy is suitable for everyone, including children under 13. We do not collect personal data from children or anyone else ourselves, and the app has no account, chat or in-app purchases. Ads are served in line with COPPA and the Google Play Families Policy as described above. Parents or guardians with questions can contact us at any time.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to request access to, rectification or erasure of your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. Because we do not store data about you ourselves, most such requests are handled directly with Google. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) or your local supervisory authority.
7. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
